When will the snow and winter be over

I can't wait for this winter to be over. It seems as though it is always dark and gloomy. We have had enough snow for this year already, 88 inches her so far and February is normally the month with the most snow.
Even though we are tired of the winter we are all well and kicking here in Rochester.
This week I was able to make contact with my youngest brother, Cary, and let him know of the passing of our brother Ellis. I was actually able to talk to him on the telephone. I have an address for him if anyone is interested.
We are just trying to stay warm and keep our spirits up till spring. Yeah, back out in the yard playing with the flowers and landscaping. Linda can't wait to get back out to her yard.

A couple of Wild and Crazy Gals

In the spring of this year I took my new wife (Linda) to Utah to meet my family. At the onset of the trip Linda was a little apprehensive about meeting everyone at the same time.
Once we got to Utah all her fears were gone as my family said that they would keep her there and send me home.
It turned out that everyone fell in love with her as I did and she felt the same way about all who she met. Their seemed to be a special bond between Linda and Elaine, they seemed to hit it off as though they had known each other since childhood. I had taken a few pictures of the two of them kind of horsing around as we were sight seeing and thought it would be a good thing to put here on our Blog.

My Brother Ellis

I have been working on this since I came home from Utah, but I guess I made the video to large and could not get it to upload. So I shortened it up and will try again.

Putting this  video together has brought back a lot of memories from our childhood. At times it was hard to concentrate without feeling sad, but I know Ellis would say that he has gone on to an eternal life to wait for the rest of us and not to be sad. He will be conversing, and telling his jokes, with all those who gone before him. I still think that the phone will ring and it will be Ellis calling to check on his younger brother, even though he insisted that he was the younger one.
I miss him, and think of him often as he is in my thoughts always. We talked on the phone at least once every week and somtimes more often if one of us felt the need. We must all stay in touch with one another as often as we can.

I will Love and Miss You Always Brother.

I had to break the pictures down into two videos to get them all on here. I really enjoyed going through the old black and white photos. I hope everyone enjoys them as I did while compiling this photo biography.

I thought it might be a good idea if we all had a copy of this picture that has
all eight of us together. I am in hopes that this will not be the last time we
are all together for a visit and photo session.

This was from Mom's Funeral pictures, which I believe we all have a copy of.
I did a little editing and thought it enhanced the photo a little.

I guess as, I get older, I think about family more and I am the farthest from
all of you. It was so great to be able to bring Linda (Ellis please note the spelling of Linda) out to meet you all. The fact that Lyle, Theresa, & Tracy were able to be there also, made all the more enjoyable. We really enjoyed ourselves, especially the day we were all @ Ellis's house for the day. Everybody made Linda feel so welcome and part of the family.

I guess I didn't take the time to say thanks to all of you, and I LOVE you all.

Lets see now myself lately I have gone back to work. Part time at Home Depot. Linda is still working in the yard, a never ending job around here.
IKE sent some high winds and took down a lot of tree limbs all over the yard. Myself I had a double root canal, atooth pulled and two caps put on inthe last week.

I guess I'm rambling as I tend to do some times. Linda calls me chatty cathy. Until the next post, I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy.

Well here goes, I thought I would try this blogging thing.

I just started a job @ Home Depot to pick up the extra cost of gasoline and food. I really enjoyed being retired and just spending time with Linda. We would go and do anything we wanted to and not worry about being somewhere at a certain time. Maybe we will be able to get back to that life style in the near future.

We have been doing an extensive overhaul of our back yard, so I thought I would put a few pictures on here to show some of the work we have done. Of course my wife, Linda, is the master gardener. She spends most of her free time out in the yard making sure that the weeds are not taking over and planting new plants.

I had to do a little work on the pickup, new rotors, callipers, and brake pads on the rear. Not to many scrapes and bruises, just a few.

I guess I will put the slide show on here and give it a try. Please give me feedback.
